Light Up Your Neighborhood This project involves offering to replace light bulbs on porches in selected neighborhoods. The intent is to be a positive influence in the crowd by being cheer-leaders, buying popcorn for the folks around you -- you get the idea. For more information on this project: orobertson@efbc.org Little League Booth In this project, your group would arrange to have a booth at the Little League World Series during the summer. Booths can be organized to meet the needs of people who are attending the event -- such as providing water, a shaded place to sit, entertainment, etc. For more information on this project: orobertson@efbc.org Furniture Fix-Up This project involves locating unused furniture, fixing it (tighten screws, refinish, etc.), and then deciding how to best distribute it (charity, specific person with a need, etc.) For more information on this project: orobertson@efbc.org Serving Those Who Serve This project involves planning a dinner and inviting people who are in service professions: law enforcement, firefighters, sales clerks, restaurant servers, day-care providers, etc. For more information on this project: orobertson@efbc.org One Man's Treasure In this project, each member of the group is challenged to find 50 items in their home that they don't need. Those items are brought together and donated to a local charity. For more information on this project: orobertson@efbc.org Carrying the Burden This project involves offering assistance to people carrying groceries or other items out of a store. Most grocery stores provide this service already; however, stores like Walmat, Kmart, Lowes, and Home Depot might work really well. Be sure to get permission from the store manager prior to serving. For more information on this project: orobertson@efbc.org Prayer Walk This project involves selecting a particular neighborhood or other area in town, walking through, and praying for the people who live or work there. But, for more information on this project: orobertson@efbc.org Welcome to the Neighborhood This project can involve a multitude of activities, such as: a block party, helping people move heavy belongings, a dinner party, or anything that will welcome people to the area. This project is not done by individuals, but by the small group. For more information on this project: orobertson@efbc.org Gratis Lawn Service In this project, members of the small group ride around the specified neighborhood and offer free lawn service to people who may not have the time or resources to take care of it themselves. This project may be done one time or several times during the summer. In also entails taking care of the children while the adults participate in the activity. For more information on this project: orobertson@efbc.org Compassion Car Kits This project involves members of the small group putting together nonperishable items to distribute to the homeless. In this project, members of the small group use different methods to say "thank you" to people in thankless jobs. For more information on this project: orobertson@efbc.org Adopt someone who needs assistance (single parent, AIDS patient, etc.) for six months. Find ways to help the world's orphans.
