Adult Music Ensembles

The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church is a large, inter-generational program devoted to equipping disciples to use their musical talents and interests to serve the church and the Kingdom of God. Music is a vehicle through which persons of all ages may find opportunities for worship, education, fellowship, and service. In short, music is an "instrument" through which we are able to experience each of these in the body of Christ.

A commitment to Jesus Christ calls each one of us to a life of service and fellowship with God and one another. We believe one way this call can be lived out is through our music ministry. Through singing and playing in our various musical ensembles, we share a testimony of faith in Christ and worship Him all at the same time. Whatever your gift, we want to find a way for you to serve and grow in your relationship with the Lord while leading others to worship and follow Christ.

The Sanctuary Choir at Easley First Baptist is for people 18+ years old. This adult chorus is our primary worship choir and leads all Sunday morning worship services. The Sanctuary Choir also presents three or four major choral services each year. This is a wonderful place to get connected here at First Baptist Church. They meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the Music Suite.

Our Heartsong Choir is for person 55 years and older. This choral ensemble allows senior adults a wonderful opportunity for ministry. The primary ministry of HeartSong is to the shut-ins of First Baptist Church. The group visits twice each month in homes and nursing homes to bring the love of Christ and a warm smile to those who have dedicated themselves through the years and are no longer able to participate.

Our premiere handbell ensemble for adults utilizes five octaves of English handbells and prepares music not only for worship, but for community concerts as well. This group usually attends a handbell festival each spring. They meet each Monday during the academic school year from early September through May from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the Music Suite.
