Handbell Ensembles

The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church is a large, inter-generational program devoted to equipping disciples to use their musical talents and interests to serve the church and the Kingdom of God. Music is a vehicle through which persons of all ages may find opportunities for worship, education, fellowship, and service. In short, music is an "instrument" through which we are able to experience each of these in the body of Christ.

We have handbell groups for grade 3 - adults. We practice weekly and perform in worship services to bring glory to God through music. If you are interested in joining a group, contact Rick Baumgarner for more information.

Kids Carillons is for grades 3-5. The director is Rick Baumgarner. They meet on tuesdays during the academic school year from early September through May from 3:00-3:40pm in Music Suite.

Our premiere handbell ensemble for adults utilizes five octaves of English handbells and prepares music not only for worship, but for community concerts as well. This group usually attends a handbell festival each spring. They meet each Monday during the academic school year from early September through May from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the Music Suite.
