Day 1
Our group began gathering around 6:15 this morning. When the bus arrived at 6:30, the first order of business was to load the supplies that the church had so generously given for the Salvation Army in Roxborough, Pennsylvania. One entire bin of the luggage compartment was filled with personal hygiene products that we are taking to our friends the Urbaezes, the leaders of the Roxborough Corps.

Day 2
Breakfast began at 6 AM this morning, and some of our group were actually there before breakfast began to be served. Our luggage was loaded, and we were lined up by 8:15 this morning. Carolyn Freeman greeted the group and led the reading of our morning prayer.

Day 3
After a delicious breakfast at our hotel, we gathered around the bus at 8:15. Rick Roe led the reading of our morning prayer and Dennis Gensler offered a prayer for the day. We boarded the bus and departed at 8:30 to meet Jane Barge at Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market.

Day 4
Our day began a little later than normal since the show at the Sight and Sound Theatre did not begin until 11:00. We had a slower morning and enjoyed fellowship at breakfast. We had our luggage down at the bus at 9:15 and circled in the lobby of the hotel at 9:30 for our prayer time.

Day 5
The room where our breakfast was served this morning was a little warmer than normal. The food was good though! We met at the bus at 9:15 to load the luggage. In fact, we combined the loading of our luggage with the boarding of the bus. We were cramped for space in downtown Philadelphia, so this saved time AND space.

Day 6
Our first morning in Washington DC began with a purchased breakfast at our hotel. This is the first morning we’ve had to pay for our breakfast. We gathered at the bus at 8:15 and departed the hotel at 8:30 for Ford’s Theater on 10th St. in downtown Washington.

Day 7
Since our day began so early this morning, we shared the doughnuts and muffins that Carol Jo and Rick purchased last night. Luggage was down at the bus at 6:30, and we prayed together at 6:45 before departing at 6:55 to go into Washington.
