Day 5

Emma Cooper was in charge of our Gathering at the Bus this morning. After a summary of the day’s schedule, she led the creed and offered her own prayer for blessings on our day.

Today was our fun day. We spent the entire day at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg Virginia. This is undoubtedly the most beautiful amusement park we had ever seen. Our weather was superb. Mid70s and a light breeze and plenty of sunshine, made the day almost perfect. The highlight of our visit to Busch Gardens was our visit to see Michael Lewis in a performance in the section of the park called Ireland. The name of the show was Celtic Frye and Michael did an outstanding job. The show had plenty of Celtic dancing and wonderful singing. We were all amazed at how well Michael performed with the other professional musicians and dancers on stage. What made this especially nice was that today was Michael’s dad’s birthday, John Lewis. At one point during the show, Michael came over and knelt down to sing a portion of his solo directly to his dad. The downside of the day was Sully Woods twisting her ankle getting off the carousel ride. She had to be rolled back to the bus in a wheelchair. She seems to be handling it pretty well and the swelling is already going down on her ankle.

After leaving Busch Gardens, we drove directly to Williamsburg Lanes and bowled until 9 o’clock. An evening of bowling and an unlimited buffet of chicken wings and pizza were a gift provided by Gayle and Jack Brooks in honor of Jackson’s birthday this coming Friday. Jackson got lots of love tonight. The two outstanding bowlers for the evening were Noah Clark who bowled a 159 and Ariel Ging who bowled 134.

Upon arriving back at the hotel, Billy Lewis led our devotion and did an outstanding job. He shared some very personal things that demonstrated his maturity of faith. We were all moved by his teaching. Thanks for your prayers as the Bridge Tour continues.
